What is the Bowling Ball?
The Bowling Ball was founded 20 years ago by a group of friends in Dallas who had a strong desire to not only raise funds for, but also bring attention to the challenges facing children in homeless shelters around the community. Sadly, with so many incredible organizations out there, sometimes our tiniest citizens would be overlooked. For three years, The Bowling Ball raised funds to assist children staying at the Annette Strauss Family Gateway Center in Dallas.
Twenty years later, we are thrilled to announce that THE BOWLING BALL IS BACK! With many familiar faces, the group feels an incredible sense of urgency to raise awareness and funding to support research of one of the biggest threats facing our population today. Alzheimer’s and other types of Dementias used to be something few people understood and fewer discussed, however these days we find it almost impossible to find someone who has not been touched or impacted by it.

Letter From The Host
Well well well, how time flies when we’re having fun !
This September I turn 50!
Looking back over my last three milestone birthdays, I see a common theme - the activities I choose for my birthday set the tone for my next decade. So with that said it’s important to me to have this birthday not only be fun, but also be worthwhile and put positive energy into the universe.
For this MAJOR BIRTHDAY MILESTONE, I have decided to host a birthday celebration with all the usual components you would see at one of SMPR’s events - Great people, fun activity, open bar, comfort food, good tunes and unique special guests.
This is where the positive energy comes in! For this year's birthday celebration, I am asking each of you to make a donation to the Aging Mind Foundation (to be a part of this unique fundraising opportunity) This isn’t your typical charity event purchase.
EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR of your donation goes 100% directly to the charity and is tax deductible. We are able to do this as this entire event has been privately funded for my 50th birthday!!!
Meaning, not a penny of what you donate will go towards the event, but 100% directly to the organization to fund the necessary research to identify the cause of Alzheirmers and other dementias.

Donations & Lanes
Here are the ways to join the fun! Reserve your very own bowling lane for up to 8 guests for a donation of $1,500 OR donate $175 per person for access to the evening (it will be $200 at the door)
To donate, follow these simple steps:
Make sure to list the Bowling Ball so that we know you have applied your donation to our experience. If donating for more than one person or reserving a bowling lane, someone from my team will be in touch to get the names for the guest list.
No gifts allowed!
Having you join me in celebrating that night and supporting such important research will make this the best birthday ever!

Flashback
As our parent's and grandparent’s generations enter their golden years the unfortunate reality is a tsunami of loved ones will potentially be impacted. This is impossible for us to ignore. We need answers to so many unknown questions. We still don't know what causes the disease, often referred to as the long goodbye, to occur in the human brain. If we ever want to find a solution to this heartbreaking illness, then we have to start at the beginning and find the roots and causes of Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
This is the mission of The Aging Mind Foundation. AMF is working hard to find these answers, but they need our help with both awareness and raising the much needed funds.
It was with this mission in mind, that The Bowling Ball returns to support The Aging Mind Foundation in their goal to beat Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
